About Captain David
Owner & US Coast Guard Licensed Captain
Captain David Hagins is the owner of D&R Charters and was born and raised in the Fernandina Beach area. He started fishing at the age of 4 and began working on charter boats while still in high school — he now has over 20 years of charter experience. Captain David is married and has one daughter who also shares his love of fishing.
His passion is being on the water and making a living doing something he truly enjoys. To him, there is nothing more exciting than watching a first-timer reel in the fish of their dreams or seeing a kid grinning ear to ear with their catch. He is also more than happy to help experienced anglers perfect their technique to land the big ones.
